Latest Version Release 1.4.1

Latest Version Release 1.4.1

Adventure Engine is pleased to announce our latest version release rolling today that includes some great development! Here are a few items that you may be interested in:

Email the Group

Lots of you have requested this one and we are really happy to be rolling it out for you. You can now run a report and email your group or class direct from Adventure Engine. The revenue summary, trip guest, guest accommodation, and customer list with bookings reports now have the ability for you to select all customer emails or a select few customer emails and then click to send a group email.

A new email will open direct in your email client showing the selected email addresses in the BCC field.  You can then enter your email subject and text and send a group email quickly and easily.  Remember to include email as a column when you build your report.

Tax in Pricing

We can now include tax in the item price instead of showing it as a separate line item. This functionality will still show the breakdown for you and your staff, but on email receipts and statements with customers only the price including tax will show, so for example instead of $10 + $0.50 (5% GST) it will simply show as $10.50. This is a PER ITEM option that can be set in the discounts and premiums tab. Please contact us if you would like help setting this up.

Payment Reference

You can now add both a payment reference and payment notes to identify payments. Both the notes and payment reference will show in:
1. Transaction history on view order area
2. Receipts report
3. In the payment history on the order statement

Quote Email

The quote email now has a clearer “book now” button with detailed instructions for logging in to view quote and process payment.

Related Tour Dates

Along with our existing functionality to show and sell related tours within other tours, you can now program what range of dates will show for the related tours. You can choose to show related tours only within tour duration of the tour being booked, and/or for ‘_x_’ number of days before/after. Offering related tours as an up-sell or a substitution when others are sold out is a powerful selling tool.

Tours set to Private

It’s easy to lose track of tours that have been set to “private”, meaning that they won’t show in your website shopping cart. Now, when you login to your system you will see these tours in blue with a description showing that they are hidden from your website. Remember you can change these at any time in the tour details tab by setting the privacy to “public”.
